Kai Trump shares her emotional transition to college life at the University of Miami, detailing challenges from tearful goodbyes to a bout of strep throat during her first week.

Kai Trump, the 19-year-old granddaughter of former President Donald Trump, recently opened up about her emotional journey as she transitioned to college life at the University of Miami. In a vlog posted to her YouTube channel, she captured the bittersweet moments of her move, from tearful farewells to unexpected health challenges.

The video chronicles her final days in Jupiter, Florida, as she prepared to join the University of Miami women’s golf team as a freshman. During a reflective drive home after a round of golf, Kai expressed her feelings about leaving her familiar surroundings behind.

“I’ve been, like, literally sobbing,” she admitted in the video. “It’s just, like, really sad that I have to say goodbye to, like, everyone today. I’m not, like, a very emotional person at all, so this is, like, really weird for me to cry. I’m just struggling right now just, like, thinking about it, but, like, I’m excited.”

Upon her arrival in Miami, Kai was joined by her best friend, Emma, who assisted with the move and made sure she was taking care of herself during the hectic transition. “Emma got me some frozen foods because I haven’t eaten in like three days,” Kai revealed, highlighting the stress of her new environment.

As classes commenced, the president’s granddaughter documented her early start to both athletic and academic responsibilities, including a 7 a.m. team meeting on her first Monday. “I’m very tired if you guys cannot tell by my face,” she remarked while preparing for the day.

The vlog also showcased her excitement over receiving official team gear, including Miami-branded apparel and golf equipment, as well as her first practice with the team. However, her initial week was marred by illness when she developed strep throat shortly after classes began.

“I got sick with strep on Wednesday, my first week of school,” Kai shared with her viewers. “I came all the way back to Jupiter because I was so sick. I needed, like, my mom to nurse me back to health.”

Kai Trump is the elder daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife, Vanessa Trump. In recent news, Vanessa was seen alongside golfer Tiger Woods during a plea conference hearing related to Woods’ DUI case stemming from a rollover crash in Florida earlier this year.

As she navigates her new life at the University of Miami, Kai’s experiences reflect the challenges many students face during their transition to college, from emotional goodbyes to health setbacks.

According to Fox News, Kai’s journey is a reminder of the importance of support systems during significant life changes.
