TORRANCE, CA – On July 25, the Sri Panchamukha Hanuman Temple held its second annual Community Health & Wellness Camp, uniting healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community members for a day dedicated to health, wellness, and community service.

More than 150 attendees benefited from free health screenings, consultations, and educational resources. The event featured the participation of 25 physicians and healthcare professionals from the South Bay area and surrounding communities, who generously donated their time and expertise.

The camp offered a variety of services, including physician and pediatric consultations, vision and dental screenings, psychiatric and mental health consultations, nutrition counseling, as well as Ayurvedic and homeopathic consultations.

In collaboration with the Lestonnac Free Clinic, eligible participants also received free prescription eyeglasses. The camp emphasized education on critical health topics such as diabetes awareness, healthy nutrition, stroke prevention, and mental health.

Attendees had the opportunity to engage in a 30-minute Hatha Yoga session, which focused on breathing techniques and gentle yoga practices aimed at enhancing both physical and mental well-being.

Torrance Mayor Sharon Kalani visited the event, where she interacted with healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community members, acknowledging their collaborative efforts to promote the health and well-being of local residents.

Now in its second year, the Community Health & Wellness Camp exemplifies the Sri Panchamukha Hanuman Temple’s commitment to Seva, or selfless service, as well as its dedication to community outreach, according to volunteer organizers.
