President Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, shared a hospital selfie following wrist surgery to address a golf injury sustained during her first tournament at the University of Miami.

Kai Trump, the 19-year-old granddaughter of former President Donald Trump, recently underwent wrist surgery to repair an injury she sustained while competing in her first tournament for the University of Miami women’s golf team. The young athlete took to Instagram on Wednesday to share an update, posting a selfie from her hospital bed that showed her left arm in a cast and sling.

In her post, Trump expressed relief that the procedure was successful and reflected on the decision to undergo surgery. “While I had hoped to avoid surgery, after talks with my family, coaches, and athletic training staff, I know I made the best decision for my long-term health and my future in the game I love,” she wrote.

Trump acknowledged that the upcoming months would not unfold as she had envisioned. “It’s certainly not how I envisioned the next few months, but sometimes the journey takes an unexpected turn, and I’m choosing to embrace this one with patience, and a whole lot of determination,” she added.

The competitive golfer also shared her gratitude for the support she has received during her recovery. “I’m incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by amazing people who continue to lift me up, encourage me, and remind me that every challenge is an opportunity to grow,” she stated.

In her heartfelt message, Trump emphasized the importance of having a supportive network. “Having the right people by your side makes all the difference, and I couldn’t be more grateful,” she said.

Trump also took a moment to thank her medical team at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City. “A special thank you to Dr. Carlson and the incredible team at HSS in New York for taking such great care of me, and to my teammates, coaches, family, and everyone who has supported me along the way,” she expressed.

Looking ahead, Trump remains optimistic about her recovery. “For now, it’s all about healing and trusting the process. I can’t wait to be back with my team, doing what I love. I’ll be back before you know it, stronger and more grateful than ever! Go Canes!” she concluded.

This is not the first time Trump has faced challenges related to her health. In a previous appearance on “Fox & Friends” in July, she revealed that she had undergone wrist surgery six months prior. During that interview, she admitted to feeling “a little nervous” about starting her freshman year and embarking on her Division I golf career at the University of Miami.

“[I’m] a little nervous, I’m not gonna lie, but I’m ready for the next chapter,” she said at the time. Trump also mentioned that her siblings are nearby, just an hour and a half away, which provides her with additional comfort.

When discussing her competitive spirit, Trump attributed her drive to both her mother and her grandfather. “My mom’s competitive, too, but definitely Grandpa’s very competitive,” she noted.

As she navigates her recovery and prepares to return to the golf course, Kai Trump remains focused on her goals and the support of her family and friends, which she believes will be instrumental in her journey ahead.

According to Fox News, Trump’s determination and positive outlook reflect her commitment to both her health and her passion for golf.
