Representative Ro Khanna has urged King Charles III to meet with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse during his upcoming visit to the United States.
WASHINGTON, DC – Representative Ro Khanna has formally requested that King Charles III hold a private meeting with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse during his anticipated visit to the United States in the week of April 27. This request was detailed in a letter released by Khanna’s office.
Khanna, who is a co-author of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, emphasized that the purpose of this meeting is to ensure that the voices of survivors are heard directly and to promote accountability that transcends national borders. “The effort to release the Epstein files is about justice for the survivors,” Khanna stated. “Leaders in the U.S. and around the world must hold Epstein’s powerful network accountable. Hearing the survivors’ stories and concerns is an important step.”
In his letter, Khanna highlighted the connections between Epstein’s network and the United Kingdom, particularly through Ghislaine Maxwell and her associations with notable British figures. He raised concerns about how influence and protection were maintained on an international scale.
Khanna also referenced recent developments in the U.K., where there has been renewed scrutiny of individuals and institutions linked to Epstein. He pointed to King Charles’s call for a “full, fair and proper” investigation into these matters.
Additionally, Khanna mentioned ongoing efforts by members of Congress to obtain testimony from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Peter Mandelson regarding their reported ties to Epstein. According to the letter, neither individual has provided testimony, with Mandelson declining to appear before the Oversight Committee, citing an ongoing criminal investigation.
The California Democrat believes that a meeting with survivors could uncover additional information and foster dialogue on transparency and accountability concerning Epstein’s network. “I respectfully ask that you privately meet with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s and Ghislaine Maxwell’s abuse, so they may speak to you directly about the ways powerful individuals and institutions failed them,” Khanna wrote.
This initiative underscores the ongoing efforts to seek justice for Epstein’s victims and highlights the importance of international cooperation in addressing the complexities of such abuse.
According to India-West, Khanna’s appeal reflects a broader commitment to ensuring that survivors’ voices are not only heard but also taken seriously in the pursuit of accountability.
