Mavelikkara, Kerala | March 30, 2026 — The documentary film “The Green Alert” is drawing widespread international attention for its compelling portrayal of the urgent need for environmental protection. Designed to deliver a powerful message within a short duration, the film highlights critical environmental concerns that are increasingly capturing the focus of governments and environmental organizations worldwide.

Written by Prof. K. P. Mathew and directed by K. C. Thulasidas, the documentary is produced by Thampy Kurian under the banner of the Kurian Foundation, Boston. The project brings together the talents of over 150 artists and stands out for its distinctive visual presentation achieved through the use of modern technologies. The film is set to be released in ten languages, including Malayalam, English, and Hindi, enabling it to reach a broad global audience.

Plans are underway to screen the documentary at platforms associated with the United Nations’ environmental division UNFCCC, IPCC, GEF as well as at various international organizations and film festivals. The film has already received an enthusiastic response during its preview screening, which was attended by environmental experts and leading figures from the film industry.

“The Green Alert” addresses a wide range of pressing environmental threats, including water scarcity, deforestation, wildfires, human-wildlife conflict, and air pollution. One of the film’s key strengths lies in its realistic depiction of the looming crises faced by both humanity and nature. Powerful visuals—such as humans and animals fleeing wildfires and sudden flooding—have evoked strong emotional responses from audiences.

Blending live-action footage with artificial intelligence-driven visual techniques, the documentary offers a unique cinematic language that enhances its storytelling impact. The film succeeds in raising awareness and reinforcing the message that environmental conservation is not just important, but imperative.

The premiere screening of “The Green Alert” will take place on April 1, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Sandra Theatre, Mavelikkara. Entry is free and open to the public.
