MUMBAI – Actor Rajat Arora, who portrayed the character Mukka in the blockbuster film ‘Dhurandhar,’ has shared his thoughts on working alongside the renowned Ranveer Singh. Arora described the experience as absolutely amazing, noting that Singh, known for his role in ‘Padmaavat,’ serves as a constant source of inspiration.
“Working with Ranveer Singh was an absolutely amazing experience. He truly is a power-packed personality, full of energy, warmth, and positivity,” Arora expressed.
Reflecting on his initial encounter with Singh during the film’s shoot in Thailand, Arora recalled the excitement he felt. “I still remember the very first day I met him. I was going for my costume trials, and he was walking towards me. In my mind, I was thinking, ‘Oh my God, today I’m actually seeing Ranveer Singh live… what should I say to him?’ I was just lost in my thoughts. Before I could even say anything, he came up to me, smiled, and said, ‘Welcome to the gang, brother!’ and gave me a warm hug. For a moment, I was like, ‘Is this real?’ That’s a moment I can never forget in my life,” he shared.
Arora further praised Singh for his friendly and supportive demeanor throughout the filming process. “Whenever he watched the scenes on the monitor, he would often appreciate my work and sometimes even guide me in certain moments, which really helped enhance my performance,” he noted.
Beyond his on-screen presence, Arora emphasized that Singh’s humor and spontaneity shone through off-camera as well. He recounted a memorable moment during a montage scene where the director, Aditya Sir, encouraged the actors to interact naturally. “I randomly said in the scene, ‘Bhaijaan, wahan ka non-veg bada bakwaas hai, pet kharab ho jaata hai… kahin aur chalte hain aaj.’ And instantly, he replied, ‘Tu veg khaya kar.’ I somehow controlled my laughter in the shot, but once the scene ended, I burst out laughing. I still wonder how he comes up with such quick and hilarious impromptu lines!”
Arora’s experiences on the set of ‘Dhurandhar’ not only highlight his admiration for Singh but also reflect the camaraderie and creativity that can flourish in a collaborative environment. The actor’s anecdotes serve as a testament to the positive atmosphere fostered by Singh, making their time together truly memorable.
