Congress MP Randeep Singh Surjewala criticized the Haryana government, claiming it has allowed crime to escalate in Gurgaon, branding the city as a “city of goons.”

Chandigarh (Haryana) [India] — On September 19, Congress MP Randeep Singh Surjewala launched a scathing attack on the Haryana government and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, accusing them of fostering a climate of lawlessness in Gurgaon and throughout the state.

Surjewala asserted that the deterioration of law and order has reached alarming levels, urging residents to take action against the current government. In a post on social media platform X, he highlighted the troubling rise of crime, stating, “The real story of ‘Gangs of Gurugram,’ told by the people of Haryana! What happened yesterday in Gurugram’s Sector 45 could happen to all of you today. Now the whole of Haryana is saying, the CM and DM are just masks of the administration. In Haryana, the rule is of mafias and extortionists. Now staying silent is a crime. Rise up, speak out, demand answers from BJP’s Shri Nayab Saini!”

In his remarks, Surjewala emphasized that the current state of affairs in Gurgaon is a direct result of the BJP’s governance. He stated, “Nayab Saini and the BJP government made Gurgaon a city of goons. Gangs of Gurgaon is now the name of the Millennium City of Gurgaon, which was made by Congress with a lot of hard work.”

Surjewala referenced a recent violent incident in Sector 45, where gunfire left buildings and vehicles marked with bullet holes. He also mentioned the discovery of a foreigner’s body under an overpass the previous week, asserting that such occurrences have severely shaken public confidence in safety and security.

“Yesterday, what happened in Sector 45, the way the MNR building was blindly fired upon by goons, there are bullet marks all over the building. There are bullet marks all over the cars. The state of goons is such that fearless goons ask for color, commit murders, and rape,” he added.

The Congress MP highlighted the alarming presence of multiple gangs operating within the state, indicating that violence has become a frequent occurrence on public roads and buses. He called on residents to demand accountability and change from their elected officials.

“Today, 80 criminal gangs are running. Somewhere Lawrence Bishnoi’s phone, somewhere Neeraj Bawana’s phone, somewhere Goldie Barad’s phone, somewhere some Nandal’s phone. Nowadays, bullets are being fired on moving buses,” Surjewala stated, painting a grim picture of the current security landscape.

He further criticized Nayab Saini, a local MLA, for allegedly maintaining connections with various businessmen while the crime rate continues to rise. “Last week, a dead body of a foreigner was found under a flyover. Nayab Saini himself, who is a beloved MLA, has been in touch with a dozen businessmen. Now people are saying that there are CM and DM faces in Haryana,” Surjewala claimed.

Surjewala warned of the dire consequences of unchecked gang activity, stating, “In reality, 80 criminal gangs and organized mafias rule Haryana. How will Haryana run? There is no animal left in the legal system. Friends, residents of Haryana, now the time has come to get rid of such a CM and such a government, who have handed over the whole of Haryana to the goons, not just Gurgaon, not Yamuna Nagar, not Ladva.”

His remarks reflect a growing concern among the public regarding safety and governance in Haryana, as calls for change intensify.
