Child actor Veer Sharma and his brother Shaurya tragically lost their lives in a fire at their home in Kota on September 28.
MUMBAI – In a heartbreaking incident, child television actor Veer Sharma and his elder brother, Shaurya Sharma, died after a fire broke out in their home in Kota during the early hours of September 28.
Reports indicate that the fire originated on the fourth floor of their building, where the two boys were alone at the time. The blaze reportedly started in the drawing room of their flat at the Deepshree building but did not spread to other rooms.
According to police reports, both Veer and Shaurya were asleep when the fire ignited and succumbed to suffocation from the thick smoke. Neighbors noticed smoke billowing from the apartment and quickly rushed to the scene. They managed to break down the door in an attempt to rescue the boys, who were subsequently taken to a nearby hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.
Their father, Jitendra Sharma, a teacher at a local coaching center, was attending a bhajan event at the time of the incident. Their mother, Rita Sharma, who is also an actress, was in Mumbai.
Police suspect that a short circuit may have caused the fire, although the exact cause remains uncertain. Investigators revealed that the drawing room was completely destroyed, while other areas of the flat showed signs of burn marks.
In a touching gesture, the family chose to donate the children’s eyes to the eye bank, honoring their wishes.
An FIR has been registered under section 194 of the BNSS Act, and authorities are conducting further investigations to determine the cause of the fire that led to the tragic loss of Veer and Shaurya.
Veer Sharma was well-known for his roles in popular television shows such as ‘Shrimad Ramayan’ and ‘Veer Hanuman.’
According to IANS, the community mourns the loss of these young lives, and the investigation continues to uncover the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
