A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for Abdul Ghafoori, a suspect in the murder of 30-year-old Himanshi Khurana, who was found dead in Toronto.

TORONTO – The tragic murder of a 30-year-old woman has led to a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a suspect known to the victim. The victim has been identified as Himanshi Khurana, and the Toronto Police are actively searching for Abdul Ghafoori, 32, who also resides in Toronto.

The Indian Consulate General in Toronto confirmed the development, stating that officials have been monitoring the situation closely and are providing all possible assistance to Khurana’s family in coordination with Canadian authorities.

According to the Toronto Police, officers were alerted to a missing person report late on December 19. The following morning, they discovered Khurana’s body, prompting an immediate investigation.

Authorities have indicated that Khurana and Ghafoori were known to each other, and the case is being treated as one involving “intimate partner violence,” as reported by police sources.

Ghafoori is wanted for first-degree murder, a serious charge that could result in a life sentence without the possibility of parole if premeditation and intent are proven in court.

This incident has raised concerns about domestic violence and the safety of individuals in intimate relationships. The police continue to urge anyone with information regarding Ghafoori’s whereabouts to come forward.

The investigation remains ongoing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available, according to IANS.
